For our last full day in Australia we decided to go on another road trip, along the Great Ocean Road between Melbourne and Adelaide. Of course we weren’t going all the way to Adelaide, which is an 8-10 hour drive.
As you would expect from the name it is a scenic coast drive. Unfortunately we had gray overcast weather the whole day.
Our target was the 12 Apostles park.
It was worth the drive, I just wish the weather was better.
The next day we headed to the airport for our 8 hour flight to Singapore. It was almost uneventful, but towards the end they asked if there was a doctor on board, then when we landed and arrived at the gate they asked everyone to remain seated while the emergency medical team boarded to attend the situation. After about 10 minutes they announced the paramedics still hadn’t shown up and let us disembark. Not a great first impression. I never found out what happened, but I did see someone breathing from an oxygen mask as I left the plane.
Not counting the airport my first real impression of Singapore was that it was greener than I expected. Lots of lush vegetation around. My second impression was they have a lot of cool looking skyscrapers here.
