New York

I'm just now catching up on the blog because we were too tired to update it in NY. We left Connecticut early and successfully avoided most traffic into Manhattan (it helped that it was Sunday morning). It was too early to check into our hotel, but we dropped off our stuff and the car and started walking around to explore the city.

First we went to Times Square, then walked north up to Central Park. It hit 10,000 steps on my Fitbit before lunch.

For the evening we got tickets to see The Book of Mormon on Broadway. We needed an early dinner before the show. Yanmei wanted to go to Panda Express, but I told her we were in New York and we could find something better. We ended up going to a place called Udon West, which was pretty good.

We both enjoyed the show quite a bit, so it was a good choice. On the way back to the hotel I stopped at Ray's for a slice of New York pizza. I'm not sure how good Ray's is in the hierarchy of NY pizza shops, but I thought the slice was delicious.

Finally we got back to the hotel after a very long day.
